"Innovators in the Natural Resource Economy" featured at the next "Is Sustainability Good Business?" Seminar

Karla Chambers, vice president of Stahlbush Island Farms; Wade Mosby, senior vice president of Collins Pine; and Steve Lawton, OSU associate professor of business share how companies are successfully practicing sustainability to improve their bottom line on Monday, April 26, from 6-7:20 p.m. in Milam Auditorium on the OSU campus.

The seminar is the fourth part of the 2004 Emerging Topics in Business seminar series focused on "Is Sustainability Good Business."  The series, occuring every Monday evening through May 17, will focus on the relationship between business and sustainability. The series will:

  • Examine the environmental, economic, social and ethical dimensions of sustainability;
  • Explore sustainability in different industries and its impact on the Oregon and US economy; and
  • Assess successes and failures in implementing sustainable business practices.

The series is free and open to the public.
