Dr. Jim McAlexander, Associate Professor of Marketing, will present insights into branding and building brand loyalty that have been developed through his work with such companies as Harley-Davidson, Jeep, and Kelloggs.

Panel includes: Chris Bryant, Josh Elliott, Brandi Palmieri, Dave Price, Hui (Helena) Xie --An award winning new venture team will present ideas for effective business plan design and presentation to potential investors. The use of Web-based technology to promote the new venture will also be covered.

Great ideas are important. But, what difference do they make to the economy? College of Business Dean Ilene Kleinsorge and Instructor Tom Dowling discuss entrepreneurship's impact, its potential in Oregon and how OSU is contributing to the Oregon economy.

Family businesses are the life blood of Oregon's economy. Dr. Mark Green, A.E. Coleman Chair in Family Business; Director, Austin Family Business Program and Austin Entrepreneurship Program; introduces family business best practices including steps necessary to form a strategic plan, establish good management practices, develop a governance system and create a clear organizational structure.
