 | | | | COB Breaks into Magazine RankingsWhile entrepreneurship has been taught throughout COB curriculum and as part of the Austin Family Business Program, entrepreneurship has only recently been expanded with the Austin Entrepreneurship Program. Yet, Entrepreneur Magazine ranked OSU in the second tier in the April 2003 issue.
The article, "Can Entrepreneurship be taught?" named OSU among the top seventy-five universities within a "limited curriculum" category. The study, conducted by TechKnowledge Point Corp., a research and referral exchange, studied a total of 700 schools from September to December 2002 and selected only 275. The judging was divided into three categories, including comprehensive programs, emphasis programs, and limited curriculum programs that were based on 30 components including: courses offered, teaching and research faculty, degrees and certificates, off-campus programs, business-community outreach, and faculty and alumni evaluations. With the Austin Entrepreneurship Program in motion, we're aiming higher! |
