 | | | | Weatherford Dining Center Falls to Make Way for an Amphitheater AreaWith each day comes a different view from 26th and Jefferson and other streets surrounding Weatherford as demolition rapidly moves forward. The dining hall demolition is coming to an end and by the time students return, the old Weatherford cafeteria will have vanished. This empty space will make way for an outdoor grass amphitheater area that will play host to concerts, speakers, and other events. Currently, interior demolition and structural, seismic work is in progress with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activity underway. The entire project is still on schedule to house roughly 290 students, faculty, and visiting professionals in the fall of 2004. |
